Now Hiring: Full-Time Security Officer – Council Bluffs, IA

Allied Universal is hiring Full-Time Security Officers for a client site in Council Bluffs, Iowa (ZIP 51501) .

This position is ideal for dependable professionals with strong attention to detail and comfort working evening and overnight shifts.

Position Details:

• Pay Rate: $18.35 per hour

• Employment Type: Full-Time

• Shifts Available: Evening and Overnight

• Shift Hours: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Control facility access and verify credentials

• Monitor security systems and perform site patrols

• Maintain accurate records of activity and incidents

• Provide customer service and enforce safety protocols

• Respond to emergencies and communicate with site leadership

Requirements:

• Comfortable using computers or tablets for report entry and monitoring

• Professional, alert, and dependable during overnight hours

• Strong communication and observation skills

• Ability to work independently and follow post-specific instructions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with badge systems or access control

• Familiarity with alarm panels or surveillance systems

• Previous security, safety, or customer service experience

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
