At least 5 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or conducting statistical analysis, or 3 years of work experience with a PhD degree. 2 years of experience in a data science role within a technology company. Preferred qualifications: PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research or related technical field. 8 years of work experience with analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or conducting statistical analysis, or 6 years with a PhD. Experience influencing product strategy and innovation through data science. Experience in controlled experiment design and causal inference methods. About the job In this role, your mission is to bring new users to vertical and international experiences and help existing users maximize their engagement with the current verticals. Your goal is to accelerate products with product-market fit, identify common patterns and opportunities, and scale impact across all verticals rapidly. Responsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders across projects to identify and clarify business or product questions. Provide feedback to translate questions into analysis, metrics, or models. Develop advanced analysis, forecasting, experimentation, machine learning, and optimization methods to identify growth opportunities (e.g., forecasting at scale, user segmentation, causal inference, churn prediction). Gather information on business goals, data infrastructure, and organizational context. Initiate and drive projects to completion independently. Manage data extraction and compilation from various sources using tools like SQL, R, Python. Ensure data quality and readiness for analysis.
