Responsibilities of a Site Fire Marshall

  • Inspect security equipment and report any maintenance needs
  • Conduct regular fire safety inspections of the facility, ensuring compliance with local fire codes, regulations, and company policies.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain fire prevention protocols , including emergency evacuation procedures, fire drill coordination, and fire system checks.

  • Train plant personnel and security staff on fire safety practices, proper use of fire extinguishers, and emergency response procedures.

  • Investigate fire hazards or incidents , document findings, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate future risks.

  • Respond to incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams
  • Answer questions in person or by phone
  • Write incident reports and communicate security concerns
  • React quickly to threats or incidents
  • Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

Qualifications for Fire Marshall

  • Be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • MUST have prior firefighting experience/needs a fire background
  • Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
  • Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Proficient in basic phone & computer skills
  • If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!
  • You have a state license if required
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
