Job Description

Role Summary:
Senior-level analytics professional responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing operational and clinical reporting solutions using Epic Cogito tools (Reporting Workbench, Radar, Slicer Dicer), Qlik Sense, and advanced SQL. This role supports business stakeholders by translating complex data needs into accurate, actionable insights and plays a key part in mentoring junior analysts and standardizing reporting practices.

Core Responsibilities:

• Design and build real-time and near real-time reports and dashboards from Epic production data.
• Translate business and clinical reporting needs into technical requirements and specifications.
• Lead the development and maintenance of SQL-based custom metrics, operational dashboards, and self-service tools.
• Train and support users in tools like Slicer Dicer and Qlik Sense.
• Serve as a reporting liaison to specific operational areas, ensuring data accuracy and usability.
• Oversee report intake, prioritize requests, and manage delivery timelines.
• Guide the retirement of legacy reporting tools (e.g., Crystal Reports) and adoption of new technologies.
• Document best practices and perform code reviews to maintain reporting standards.
• Mentor junior analysts in technical and functional development.

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (or 10 years of relevant experience).
• Epic certifications required within 12 months: Cogito Fundamentals, Clarity & Caboodle Data Models, Tools Admin, and Clinical or Access Data Model.

Experience:

• 6+ years in business intelligence/reporting roles.
• 2+ years in Epic Reporting Workbench and Radar dashboard development.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets and data warehouses.

Additional Skills:

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management.
• Ability to lead projects and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of healthcare data, workflows, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, MIPS).
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
