About the Role: Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team based out of Charlotte, NC. This entry-level to mid-level accounting position is a great opportunity for a professional eager to develop their skills and grow their career in a supportive environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with the daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial record-keeping. Key Responsibilities: * Perform daily accounting tasks, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations. * Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes. * Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements. * Process and verify transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. * Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). * Support the senior accounting team with audits by preparing schedules and gathering documentation. * Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial data. * Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * 1-3 years of accounting experience. * Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Excel skills. * Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) is a plus.
