Job Description & RequirementsOpportunity:
\nNuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician
\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 8-hour or 10-hour shifts with flexibility to adjust based on unit needs and guaranteed hours
\n• Weekend requirement - every other weekend (EOW)
\n• Holiday requirement - must work holidays
\n• On-call requirement with 30-minute response time
\n• First to float between Bryan and College Station campus (16 minutes apart) as needed
\n• Perform various nuclear medicine studies including cardiac, HIDA, bone scans, gastric emptying, GI bleed, lung, brain death, and DAT scans
\n• Average of 12 scans/studies per day (cardiac = 2)
\n• Must be able to start IVs
\n• Work with Siemens Symbia T6 equipment
\n• Use MEDITECH EMR system, Fuji Synapse PACS, and NMIS
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT (N) or NMTCB (CNMT), MRT, Certified Nuclear Cardiology Technologist (NMTCB-NCT), Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist
\n• Black scrubs required
\n• Department-specific orientation provided
\n• Call outs strongly discouraged and could lead to termination
\n• Cannot have been directly employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities within the past year
Facility:
\nThis regional healthcare center provides comprehensive medical services with a focus on advanced diagnostic imaging. The nuclear medicine department currently operates one scanner with plans to expand to two units, supporting both the main campus and a secondary location. The facility maintains radiologist coverage in-house until 5 PM with remote reading services available until midnight, ensuring continuous patient care and diagnostic support.
